Simplicity can sometimes be more welcoming than all the fancy signs in the world.

Hi, my name is Isabella Rose.

I know that you are here because you would probably like to learn a little bit more about me.

However, if you do not mind, I will try to keep things pretty simple.

Isabella Rose is my pen name, and to be honest, I would rather it were something more akin to anonymous.

Or, the hermit.

Who I am is not important – for these purposes, it is only what I create that counts.

So I hope that you will forgive me if I disappear into my own artistic world, and reappear from time to time to share what I have made.

Nonetheless, if you follow my website, there you will there be able to fill in many of the blanks.

Who I am is not important, but I am glad that you are here.

Isabella Rose

  1. Hi Rose, The church is full of historical art work and I am looking forward to learn a few things about art. Not much of an artist nor have the eyes for art. But I am open to anything especially the Catholic art work. Good night. Seeker.

    1. Hi Seeker, and thank you for commenting and sharing your interests. I do plan on exploring more of the art of the Church, and the symbolism behind it, as this site develops. I have had quite a few people express the same interest as you did, so hopefully I can help with that in some way. 🙂 God bless you and thank you for dropping by!

    1. Hi! Thank you so much for the kind comment. 🙂 My degrees are one B.A. and two Master’s degrees (Art History and English were the two most influential ones). What led me to them could constitute a book.

It was a long journey, both interior and exterior. In a nutshell, one day I registered for some classes in Art History and European History, read the “Life of St. Teresa of Avila” at about the same time, and ever after that all I wanted to do was learn more about all three – Art History, the history of Europe, and the historic Catholicism that I read about but had never seen.

I see that you live in London? You are blessed! You get to be surrounded by so much of that history that I love. Do you enjoy history?

God bless you and thank you again. 🙂
