“I write because I love to create worlds that carry the heart away to the dream of who we could all be.” – Isabella Rose
Hi, I am Isabella Rose, and the above is my personal reason – or statement – for why I write.
I say “personal,” because for me, writing is first and foremost an opportunity of the heart.
It is a chance to be better, to dream wider, and to hope stronger, far from the pressures and the stresses of the maddening crowd.
For it to be worth my time, it has to change my moments, my hours, my days – or even my life.
After all, if it does not do that for me, then how will it ever have any chance of doing the same for you?
And that leads me to my second reason for why I write: because I just want to make your life a better place to be.
When you paint beauty on a canvas, it makes that small space far more special then it was before.
In the same way, when you paint beauty on your mind, it makes you far more special than you were before.
Because suddenly you have a chance – a moment of inspiration – to see who you are, and who you are meant to become.
That is what my writing is all about.
Sure, I am Catholic, and yes, that makes me Christian, and my writing often tends to take a spiritual side.
But I don’t pander to easy street, or to simple characters that have no struggles, face no faults, or walk the pages of my words like a near stoic effigy.
In other words, I don’t care if you have purple hair spiked to the high heavens, or if you are more religious than the Pope.
If you are human, I have a story to tell.
And if it makes your life better, than my mission is accomplished, and my day is well done.
